Joining a Pooling Trip

When another traveler has already started a pooling trip request, you can join their pool and share the flight — and the cost. There are two ways to find a trip to join.

Requirements​

Before you can join a trip:

  • You must be logged in to your jet4us account.
  • Your phone number must be verified. If you haven't added one yet, go to your avatar menu → Account → Add Phone.

Finding a Trip to Join​

  1. Tap the Book Seat tab.
  2. Enter your origin and destination (city or airport name).
  3. Browse the results. Each card shows:
    • Route (origin → destination)
    • Departure date
    • How many seats are available
    • The seats progress bar (how full the pool is)
    • Estimated price per seat
  4. Tap a card to open the full trip details.
  5. If the trip looks right for you, tap Join or Book This Seat.

If someone sent you a direct link to their trip:

  1. Tap the link (in WhatsApp, email, text, etc.).
  2. The trip detail page opens.
  3. If the trip is Public and has open seats, tap Join.
  4. If the trip is Private, you will see the details but you cannot join without a personal invitation from the trip owner. Contact them to request one.

The Seat Booking Flow​

Once you tap Join or Book This Seat, you will go through a short confirmation flow:

  1. Select seats — choose how many seats your party needs.
  2. Review the price estimate — for pooling trips, this is an estimate. The final price per seat is set after an operator offer is accepted.
  3. Add any special requests — optional notes for the operator (e.g. accessibility needs, extra luggage).
  4. Confirm — tap Confirm Reservation to lock in your seats.

You are now a member of the pool. Your reservation is immediate.

After Joining​

Once you confirm your reservation:

  • Your seats appear in Jet4Me → My Flights → Pooling.
  • Your seat count is added to the pool's total, moving the progress bar forward.
  • You will receive notifications at every key milestone:
    • When the trip request is sent to operators.
    • When operator offers arrive.
    • When an offer is selected and the trip is confirmed.
    • When the group chat is created.

You do not need to do anything else — the trip owner manages sending to operators and selecting an offer.

Canceling Your Reservation​

If your plans change, you can cancel your seat reservation.

  1. Go to Jet4Me → My Flights → Pooling.
  2. Open the trip card.
  3. Tap Cancel Reservation.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

Your seats are released back to the pool immediately, and other travelers can claim them.

Cancellation is only available while the trip is in Pooling or Full status. Once the trip owner has sent the request to operators, the trip is locked and individual reservations can no longer be canceled independently.

If you need to withdraw after the trip has been sent to operators (status: Offers Requested or later), contact jet4us support as early as possible.

Understanding the Pool Status​

Here is what the different pooling statuses mean for you as a member:

PoolingThe pool is open. Seats are being reserved. You can still join or cancel.
FullAll seats are reserved. No more joiners unless someone cancels.
Offers RequestedThe trip owner has sent the request to operators. Wait for offers.
Offer SelectedAn offer was accepted. Your booking is being confirmed.
Trip ConfirmedYour flight is confirmed. Check the Confirmed tab for full details.
Canceled / ExpiredThe trip did not proceed. Any reserved seats are released.
