Chat

jet4us includes a built-in messaging system so you can stay in contact with your travel group, the operator, and your JetMates — all without leaving the app.

Accessing Chat​

Go to Jet4Me → Chat.

The Chat tab lists all your active conversations. Unread messages are shown with a count badge on each conversation row.

Types of conversations​

You may have several types of conversations, depending on your activity on jet4us.

Trip Request Group Chat​

A group chat for everyone involved in a pooling trip request.

  • Includes: the trip owner and all members who have joined
  • Becomes available once the trip is in Pooling status or later (not available in Draft)
  • To open it: My Flights → your trip card → Open Chat

Use this chat to coordinate with your travel group while you're waiting for the trip to fill up and for offers to arrive.

Confirmed Trip Group Chat​

A group chat for everyone booked on a confirmed flight.

  • Includes: all travelers with a confirmed booking on that trip
  • Created when the trip is confirmed
  • To open it: My Flights → Confirmed → your booking card → Open Chat

Use this chat for last-minute coordination before the flight, sharing arrival details, or keeping in touch with fellow passengers.

Operator Direct Chat​

A private conversation between you and the operator of your confirmed trip.

  • Available after your booking is confirmed
  • To open it: My Flights → Confirmed → your booking card → Open Chat (select the operator conversation)

Use this chat for:

  • Schedule or logistics questions
  • Special needs or requests
  • Pre-flight coordination

JetMates Direct Chat​

A private one-on-one conversation with someone in your JetMates list.

  • Available anytime, as long as the connection is mutual
  • To open it: Jet4Me → JetMates → tap the message icon next to their name

Use JetMates chat for casual coordination, planning future trips, or just keeping in touch with frequent travel companions.

Using the Chat tab​

The Chat tab at Jet4Me → Chat brings everything together:

  • All your active conversations in one scrollable list
  • Unread message count badges
  • Archive a conversation to keep your list tidy — archived conversations can be unarchived at any time

Tap any conversation to open it and view the full message history.

In group chats, you can see the list of participants by tapping the conversation header.

What you can do in chat​

  • Send and receive text messages
  • View full message history for any conversation
  • See who's in a group chat

Chat is currently text-only. File attachments, voice messages, images, and push notifications are not available in this version of jet4us.
