Bookings
A booking is your confirmed seat reservation on a confirmed trip. It is the final, concrete record of your place on a flight — the step that comes after all the pooling, offer review, and selection has been completed.
How a booking is created
Bookings are created automatically in two situations:
After an offer is accepted
When a trip owner selects an operator's offer, the platform immediately creates:
- A confirmed trip record
- One booking for every traveler who was part of the trip request (including the owner)
You do not need to do anything to receive your booking — it is created for you the moment the offer is accepted.
When booking a seat on Fly Now
If you use the Fly Now tab to find and book a seat on an already-confirmed open-seat flight, your booking is created directly at the point of reservation — no pooling or offer process is involved.
Booking statuses
Awaiting Payment
Your seat is reserved and your booking exists, but it is not yet fully confirmed.
You need to pay the operator to secure your place on the flight. Your booking will remain in this state until you complete payment and the operator confirms it.
This is your action item — do not delay, as operators may have payment deadlines.
Payment Under Review
You have submitted your payment proof (a screenshot or receipt of your bank transfer) and the operator is reviewing it.
No further action is needed from you at this point. You will be notified once the operator has reviewed your submission.
Confirmed
Your payment has been verified by the operator and your booking is fully confirmed.
You are on the flight. Your booking details are available in the My Flights tab inside Jet4Me.
Canceled
Your booking has been canceled — either by you, the operator, or an administrator.
If you believe this was an error, contact support through the Chat tab.
Refunded
Your payment was returned to you. This status typically follows a cancellation where a payment had already been made.
Booking vs trip request membership
These are two distinct things and it helps to understand the difference:
| Trip request membership | Booking | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Your participation in the pooling phase before a trip is confirmed | Your confirmed seat reservation on a confirmed trip |
| When it exists | During DRAFT, POOLING, FULL, and OFFERS_REQUESTED phases | After an offer has been accepted and a confirmed trip exists |
| Does money change hands? | No | Yes — payment is required |
| Is the flight confirmed? | Not yet | Yes |
Think of trip request membership as your hand raised during the demand-building phase. A booking is your ticket — the tangible confirmation that you have a seat on a real, confirmed flight.
Where to find your bookings
All confirmed bookings appear in the My Flights tab inside Jet4Me. Use the filter tabs to view:
- Confirmed — active bookings on upcoming or recent flights
- Pooling — trips still in the request/pooling phase
- Canceled — bookings that are no longer active
- All — your complete history
